Quitman high school football coach Jason Soules began his wrestling career while attending the University of Southern Mississippi. He wrestled for two years before getting his first head coaching job at Heidelberg Academy. His new employers were not happy about his extracurricular activities and forced him to stop. He then moved to Quitman High School where things were a little more lax. He grew his hair and beard back out and was allowed to wrestle again, despite those parents who might not approve.
Soules says he does not care what others think. "If they want me to coach high school football that's fine. If I win games I don't want to hear any thing from them," Soules said. "Wrestling is a part of who I am and if they can't accept that, then I will move on."
