Gentry Barton’s road to receiving his PGA card has had pivots just like any golf course would.
Barton began golfing with his father at the age of 3. Barton was raised on the golf course his dad helped build in Gautier. Barton fell in love with golf at age four because of his constant interaction with the sport and athletes. Because Barton grew up on a golf course he was provided with opportunities to constantly better his game.
Barton held on to his dreams as a professional golfer after sustaining a sport related injury, which ended his career in soccer. He continues to fight today for his PGA card as he works as an assistant pro.
