Surrounded by recording equipment, Tira D. and Lonnie Craig “C.R.G” seemed in their element in the music world.
Tira D made her start performing in and around the Jackson area, but has been able to expand across the country. She said her greatest moment was when she performed with her favorite rapper Big Krit.
Craig spent most of the last year in the classroom as a public relations student at Southern Miss. He said he wants to use his degree to help expand his music career.
Of a picture of a street performer hanging in his studio space, Craig said, "He doesn’t have much, but this represents how is music is enough…music is life."
Tira D faced criticism for being a female rapper. She did not let that stop her from rapping about what she wants.
Tira D said, "People expect me to rap about what’s real...if I ain’t doin that I’m lying to them."
Tira D and Lonnie Craig used their voices to follow their dreams and reach the music ambitions.
