Sadie Nielsen, Southern Miss student, received a birthday surprise she didn’t anticipate this weekend.
As her birthday drew near, Sadie began to sadden thinking none of her friends had remembered her birthday. Little did she know, her family and friends had banded together to plan an extravaganza to celebrate her 21st birthday.
Sadie’s sister, Sarah, who had not seen her sister since moving to Birmingham in October, even came in town to celebrate.
“I can’t wait to see her face when she sees me. We are seriously going to cry. She’s my best friend,” says Sarah.
As Sadie walked in, her face was priceless. All of her friends and family shouted, “SURPRISE!” as she walked into the crowded back patio of Oscar’s Mexican restaurant, her favorite place to eat.
Guests enjoyed Mexican cusine, drinks, and other party festivities, while making Sadie’s 21st a night to remember.
“I thought they had forgotten. I really did. But I should have known I have the best family and friends in the world. They really outdid themselves this time!” said Sadie Nielsen.
